Automobiles in Germany's City Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Police reported they were notified by a resident who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 cars have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement say they were contacted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued fluid.

The substance had been drawn in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Police then found numerous other vandalized cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials say early analysis show the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no lead as to its source; investigators are currently not informed of any injuries in connection with the event," they added.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the community for information.

A high-ranking representative stated the incident made him without words and needed to be addressed rapidly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, referring to the death of nine people by a assailant aiming at residents of migrant background in February 2020.
